Bug Description
Configuration:
* Tri-head, two-X-screen system
* Screen 0: GeForce 9500 GT (2 monitors, twinview)
* Screen 1: GeForce 8400 GS (1 monitor)
* Nvidia (proprietary) driver version: 260.19.29
With gnome-panel and Ubuntu's 'classic' mode, each screen has its own panel -- automatically. The panel from which I launch an application dictates what screen that application will be confined to. I like this setup considerably. :-)
In contrast, with Unity, the application launcher and top panel only exist on screen 0. I see no way to launch applications within Screen 1. As a related aside, bringing up a context menu and choosing to 'Create Launcher....' within Screen 1 results in the new item winding up on Screen 0. There is no way (to my knowledge) to place applications launched in Screen 0 in screen 1. Thus in Unity, Screen 1 is merely decorative.
I am well aware of the fact that my particular use case is unusual. ;-) But if, when time permits, y'all can cause me to get this functionality back within Unity, it would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I can confirm this, and can see a few people using this configuration. I have a laptop using nvidia-current and screen cloning so I can use a 1280x1024 monitor though the HDMI port plus USB keboard & mouse when I am at my desk and use the built in 1920x1080 screen when I am roaming.
The problem is that when I clone the screens using nvidia-settings the Unity launcher menu (Ubuntu logo in the top left) is not present on either screen. I get everything else, including the far right "power" button.
This is confirmed in the latest update on 2011-04-20.
