Maximized windows in Unity should be undecorated by default, just like in Unity mutter. Also see this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/612993.
Temporary workaround: http://jaket.is-a-geek.com/blog/linux/remove-titlebar-on-maximized-windows-with-compiz.
