Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Using Unity I find myself accidentally showing the launcher (e.g. aiming for the back button in Firefox when maximised) and this covers the element I am trying to click. When this occurs, I have to move the mouse off the launcher and wait for the launcher to timeout and this takes a few seconds.
A possible way to make this less costly is to immediately hide the launcher when clicking on the window.

Clicking on a window other than the launcher could quickly hide the
launcher. This is at least worth trying.
On the other hand, the current behaviour of the launcher reveal is not
as designed. The launcher should be "fading in" when the mouse starts
crossing the Ubuntu button, but it should only be "locked in" when you
hit the corner. This way, you get a hint that you're overshooting when
you hit the button, but you can stop and retrace your steps and avoid
the launcher being clicked into place altogether. Please file a separate
bug for that behaviour - it's in the design doc.
