the launcher doesn't focus minimized dialogs on empty workspaces

Binary package hint: unity

Using unity 3.2.0-0ubuntu3 on natty:

- start an unity session
- run gedit (or anything else)
- click on the "_" wm button to hide the dialog
- click on the launcher icon to bring it back
- nothing happens

it should bring back the dialog. Changing workspaces and clicking on launcher bring it back though. Using alt-tab on the ws where it's hidden works as well.

There is another bug which seems similar there:

- run empathy, let the buddy list on screen
- switch to another workspace
- use the message indicator and click on the messaging client entry

the buddy list vanishes from both workspaces

This is working fine for me with trunk, I don't see an explicit fix in the bzr log either. Could this be a compiz bug? What compiz version do you have?

Spoke to seb. I can't reproduce it and he is going to try again with latest Unity in natty, marking as incomplete pending that feedback.

So, it's reproducible if nautilus doesn't draw the background, just set /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop to false in gconf.
