After resume, all the launcher icons are white boxes

When I resumed from suspend, I was greeted with the attached screenshot. All the launcher icons are white. They are still functional (hover and clicks work). They just don't show anything.

I needed to log out and back to get them normal.

Hey Mike. Has this got any better with the updated Xorg and nvidia drivers?

Nope. But it got different. One time I resumed, it looked like unity crashed and restarted, so no white boxes there. Then this morning I resumed and the whole launcher was white. Just a big ol' strip of white. Then, after a few seconds, it drew itself, but all corrupted, as you can see in the attached screenshot.

If I suspend, or if I just switch to tty and back to X,
- My browser goes to fullscreen
- unity redraws itself (crash?)
- I lose any open terminal window

I'm using nvidia proprietary driver too
Maybe it's due to the lack of kms?

Mirco, you can use http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~netbook-remix-team/netbook-remix-launcher/trunk/annotate/head:/netbook-launcher/nl-config.c#L485 as a guide on what signals to listen to from ConsoleKit to know when the system has resumed from suspend, and therefore hopefully do something to refresh the icons (maybe the icon cache?)

Affecting me too, on UNE 2.6.35-22-generic. Sometimes white boxes, sometimes odd pixelated icons (see attached). Programs, etc launch fine, just can't see the icons. Occurs after hibernate/resume, if unity crashes and restarts (happens somewhat regularly), or if screen refreshed (like when extending desktop to a second monitor with nvidia drivers).

Using Nvidia proprietary drivers as well.

5/5 times always white boxes, haven't yet seen the pixelated icons

After Resume, Unity icons are white with pink pixelations.
The black bar was also white, but turned black once I launched something.

This bug is a wontfix for Ubuntu-10.10 if you face any such issues in the version of unity in natty please report new bug reports. Unity in Ubuntu-10.10 is not being actively developed anymore.
