when I open a folder it always displays in icon view: it never remembers the view or window size previously used.

Bug Description

I'm using 15.10, but I upgraded from 12.04 via 14.10 & 15.04 (I think) which both had the same problem.

When I open a folder I expect it to remember last time I opened it - whether I was using icon or list view, size of window, and size of font / thumbnail (i.e. how many times I pressed ctl +). Instead I always get returned to a small icon view of my files in date rather than name sequence. It makes finding the file I want a pain.

Jon
