Bug Description

I've acquired a high-dpi display recently (ASUS PB287Q), and while the monitor preferences to set GTK scaling works quite well, Unity makes no attempt to similarly scale up the cursor, leaving me with a minuscule cursor that is almost invisible.

As well, other tools such as unity-tweak-tool, which claim to be able to set different cursor settings, also fail in unity.

Searching the web, it appears that this is a long standing problem, which has been mostly ignored. However, given the very real need to scale up cursor size with monitor DPI along with other UI elements, I'm hoping we can see some investigation and traction on the issue now that 4k displays are starting to become more affordable and prevalent.

Also, forum comments like those suggested in the following don't seem to work with 14.10 either:

Note this is still present in Vivid, and likely will be present in all future releases until it is specifically addressed.
