mouse clicks displaced

"Sometimes" mouse clicks in unity are displaced:
When I click on a specific folder e.g. in nautilus, the folder below is selected. This also effects thunderbird (so I believe it's independent from the program). So technically when I click on (x=100px, y=500px), the mouse click is catched at (100px, 600px) (upper left corrdinates). If I remember correctly this isn't the case for the unity launcher or the top menu but only for the rest of the visible area.

I also believe that it startet when I switched apps from the unity launcher and it stopped when switching more times again.

Have this bug for long time, still exist in 16.04.
Thunderbird is most affected application.
Clicking restore/maximize returns normal mouse behaviour.

It is happening in my Ubuntu 16.04 too. I notice the problem after installing Cairo-Dock, but I am not sure it is related.
