Bug Description

The Super-W keystroke sometimes opens the dash instead of showing all windows. The behavior seems to depend on how long you hold down the super key. Tapping + releasing both the super key and w key will open the dash. Holding down the super key for more than about 0.5sec will open the spread, no matter how long you hold down the w key.

Oddly I can't reproduce the problem with other super- keystrokes such as Super-S or Super-T. It only happens with Super-W. A quick tap of Super-S will reliably open expo mode.

To reproduce:
1) Quickly tap Super-W

Expected results:
The spread opens

Actual results:
The dash opens

I can reproduce this on multiple keyboards from different manufacturers, so I don't think it's anything unique to the keyboard itself.

This bug was fixed in the package unity - 7.2.0+14.04.20140414.1-0ubuntu1

---------------
unity (7.2.0+14.04.20140414.1-0ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=low

  [ Alfred Neumayer ]
  * Security issue: Gestures on the lock screen allow to peek inside
running applications. As with keyboard input, gestures should be
blocked while the screen is locked. (LP: #1303041)

  [ Sami Jaktholm ]
  * Scale: Correctly detect the activation of a scale and set
scale_just_activated_ to true properly. (LP: #1288789)

  [ Marco Trevisan (Treviño) ]
  * CompizUtils: only shadow-decorate alpha windows that have full
decorations as well Since alpha windows might have custom shapes,
it's safer not to shadow-decorate them unless they don't provide,
for sure, a full decoration. This fixes, between the others, the
    unity force-quit dialog. (LP: #1281825)
