Do you plan on updating the gnome interface scaling-factor too?

In https://launchpadlibrarian.net/167214785/unity-settings-daemon_14.04.0+14.04.20140221-0ubuntu1_14.04.0+14.04.20140221.1-0ubuntu1.diff.gz we turned off the autodetection; it'd be good to do something with it via this slider. Might be tricky though as it's only an integer and not per-monitor.

Unity does not use the GTK scaling-factor setting. Even GTK-based applications become pretty much unusable if it is set to anything but 1, at least on my 13" 300 PPI test machine.

A slider to set the GTK text-scaling-factor would be useful for those GTK applications that can take advantage of it, but beyond the scope of the high-DPI shell work.

hmm, well I don't have a way to test that.

In any event, it can be fixed separately. Ack to the FFe - please get it uploaded ASAP.
