Bug Description

In Ubuntu 13.10 there is an issue that causes the dash to become inaccessible when using virtualbox in seamless mode. Also affects HUD (but I don't use it so can't say much on that).

Reproducable: Yes

How to reproduce the problem:
Open a VM in seamless mode on one of the workspaces. Switch to another workspace. Try to access the dash (either with mouse click or super key). The result is that the dash will briefly appear (millisecond) and then disappear rendering it inaccesible.

Workaround: While in a desktop workspace (not the VM) click on super+s to open expo and then click super+s again to go back to the ubuntu desktop. Now you should be able to access the dash.

I've tested this on the standard 3.11 kernel as well as the 3.12rc kernels with the same result. At least one other perosn has the same issue based on a discussion in the ubuntu forums.

Sorry folks, but, as part of the bug clean up ahead of 16.04 LTS, I'm marking this as invalid because it affects an Ubuntu release which is now unsupported. If you can still recreate this bug in a supported release, please do open a new bug and we can triage it for consideration in the 16.04 LTS development cycle.
