HUD showing results from the wrong context

Bug Description
When an in-application action triggers a switch to a different application, the HUD doesn't seem to be notified and still shows results for the previous application.
Example in my case:
Image viewer and GIMP are both running, focus is on the image viewer.
If I now choose to open the current image in GIMP (via the context-menu, HUD doesn't have this option!?!), the focus switches to the GIMP which opens the image. If I press now alt to open the HUD, the results (and the icon in the corner) are still from the image viewer.
