Bug Description

In previous versions of Ubuntu, launching Shutter would place an indicator icon on the top-panel (by the clock).

In Ubuntu 13.04, so far, this indicator is missing.

If anything, the network indicator definitely should not be missing -
it's part of the core Ubuntu desktop. I reckon solving that would solve
this, as well.

Vadim, I agree with you. Yet I'm having trouble locating the exact ubuntu package that manages indicators, do you know what it is?

This must of had to do with upgrading from 12.10 to 13.04.

I installed over that upgrade with a regular install from the daily build image, and the shutter icon has returned.

So, I suspect this bug is elusively related to those who do distribution upgrades.
