2013-03-23 18:26:55 Jono Bacon summary Crash on previews with smart scopes PPA Hang on previews with smart scopes PPA
2013-03-23 18:27:03 Jono Bacon description Compiz/Unity is crashing when previewing an item with the smart scopes PPA. This is what I am doing: 1. Open the dash. 2. Search for 'Severed Fifth' in the home lens. 3. Wait for the Code items to appear and right-click the 'Severed Fifth Fan App'. 4. You should see the spinner and then it will stop spinning and Unity has hung. When I did this the last time I got a gdb backtrace: #0 0xb74b91a6 in ?? () from /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 #1 0xb76b7f0b in std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >::basic_string(char const*, std::allocator<char> const&) () from /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 #2 0xb140c564 in unity::glib::hintsmap_from_hashtable(_GHashTable*, std::map<std::string, unity::glib::Variant, std::less<std::string>, std::allocator<std::pair<std::string const, unity::glib::Variant> > >&) () from /usr/lib/libunity-core-6.0.so.5 #3 0xb1405666 in unity::dash::ScopeProxy::Impl::OnScopeActivateCallback(_GObject*, _GAsyncResult*, void*) () from /usr/lib/libunity-core-6.0.so.5 #4 0xb62b9ac0 in g_simple_async_result_complete () from /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgio-2.0.so.0 #5 0xb1316a7b in ??
