unity can't start urxvt from the icon in the dock

When I run urxvt instances, unity places an icon for it in the dock / launcher. However, I cannot use this icon to launch more instances of urxvt.

To reproduce: start gnome-terminal. Type "urxvt & ; disown %1". You'll get a urxvt window and an icon in the dock. Try middle-clicking the dock icon to start more. Nothing happens. I expect more terminal windows to open.

Yeah, I can confirm this on Precise also. Maybe could it be that this is because the package "rxvt-unicode" doesn't have a desktop file with it?
