In previous versions of Ubuntu I could modify the Firefox launcher and add the appropriate arguments so each time the launcher was clicked I would get the Firefox Profile Manager and I could start a new instance of Firefox with a different profile.
After installing alacarte, I was able to add arguments to the Firefox launcher on the Unity bar (is that the appropriate name). The first time I click it the Profile Manager opens and I can start Firefox with the profile of my choice. But, when I click it subsequent times nothing happens.
There needs to be a way to open instances of Firefox with new profiles from the Unity bar. |

There needs to be a way to open instances of Firefox with new profiles from the Unity bar.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open alacarte and change properties of firefox icon from "firefox %u" to "firefox -P"
2. Detach firefox from launcher and attach again
3. Open firefox by clicking in the launcher's icon. You should see the profile manager.
4. Realise there is not a way to start the profile manager again from unity launcher. |
