Partial tooltips displayed

See the included screenshot, partial tooltips can be displayed as if there were an invisible window hiding them.
Clicking through this invisible window correctly brings the background application in front.

Normally a tooltip should vanish as soon as the mouse leaves the launcher (though sometimes they don't). Where is the mouse when it happens?

@vanvugt: it does vanish when moving the mouse outside of the launcher, it's just that it's not fully displayed when it's on the launcher.

Please don't target bugs for R yet, let's try to get it fixed for Q.

All bugs need to be fixed in lp:unity before (or at the same time as) lp:unity/6.0, I think.

OK, so what if there is no window behind and it's just an empty desktop. Do you get the full tooltip then?

And is it worse if something is redrawing behind the tooltip lots (like glxgears)?

@Daniel: I can't reproduce it for now (I didn't logout/login, neither change my monitors settings). I'll do that next time I get it.

Didrocks, were you able to reproduce it again? I had the same issue with Unity 6.4 (or it was probably 6.6 or an interim trunk checkout) but now it doesn't happen any more with 6.8.

This is a rather old bug that I can't seem to reproduce and has been set Incomplete for some time. It's probably been fixed in some release and going to mark as such.

If it still occurs, we can either reopen this bug or open a new one.
