Dash lags during searches (with high amount of results)

Bug Description

When performing searches in the dash and the lenses return lots of results in their categories (>1k), there are pretty serious lags which affect everything since dash is runing in the same process and thread as the window manager.

I'm not sure if this is the same bug but after updating unity to 5.16 (proposed) in precise this also happens(slow search). Also shownig dash and closing it is extremely slow. And moving mouse over icons/thumbs extremaly increases cpu usage and causes mouse pointer moving choppy.

@Pawel, please report a new bug for that using the command 'ubuntu-bug unity' that way we'll be able to assess which GPU/driver you have and would help us better track down the issue.
