no system bar top right unity

When I view the desktop i cannot see the system settings, network-manager,volume icon, ect dont show up on the latest version of unity from the unity staging ppa

laptop all of a sudden logged my out and sent meto the login screen for no appearent reason

You are running the staging PPA, which contains highly unstable Unity packages. As such, I'd recommend you to downgrade to the archive packages using ppa-purge since the staging ppa is for experimental purposes only.

That said, these issues are a result of fresh changes in Unity trunk, and should be stabilized soon.
