Bug Description

Open multiple terminals on multiple workspace, press alt-tab, only the window indicator arrows for windows on the current workspace get shown, but not for windows on other workspaces.

Attempting to switch windows or waiting until the application windows expand in the launcher will reveal all windows including those on other workspaces though. That is confusing/inconsistent.

Thanks for the bug report. Its unity's default behavior to only concentrate on the apps in the current window. You can however change that from CCSM in unity plugin under the switcher tab. the option is 'bias alt-tab.....'

I am going to mark this bug as opinion as its working as our design team wanted it to.

The option to 'bias alt-tab' does not change the issue. If I turn it off the indicators are still not shown.

This issue is also present in a clean install in a VM.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open two terminals on two workspaces
2. disable 'bias alt-tab behaviour' in ccsm
3. press alt-tab
4. observe that the terminal application icon does not show any window indicators

Andreas, In the default form when the option 'bias alt-tab' is active its working as intended but I can now confirm if that option is disabled the alt-tab still does not show if there are multiple windows or not.

Changed in unity:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: Opinion → Confirmed
