unity shell disappears when cloned monitor turned off and on

Bug Description
1. fresh install Ubuntu12.04(64 bit)
2. connect 2 monitors to my graphics card, clone mode will be configured by default
3. turn off one monitor using xrandr --output DFPx --off
4. turn on the monitor using xrandr --output DFPx --auto
issue happens that the launcher disappears, should be a problem of unity shell.
