Bug Description

Unity Tweak Tool 0.0.7ubuntu2 settings don't get applied on Ubuntu 17.04 running in VirtualBox on Window 7.

On the Launcher tab of the app, When I drag the Transparency Level slider or decrease the Icon Size nothing happens. One setting (I think the only setting) that does work is the Position of the launcher. When I switch that from left to bottom it indeed changes position.

It has worked once after a few reboots but then when I rebooted again all my changes were lost.

Any suggestions how this could be fixed? This has always worked fine for me on other Ubuntu installations.

I don' see anything that could point to a problem in /home/myaccountname/.cache/unity-tweak-tool/debug.log

This is the output from dragging the transparency slider:

This problem was apparently caused by the combination of running Ubuntu in Virtualbox and trying to apply GUI settings (either through Tweak Tool or the System Settings > Appearance panel) with a dual screen setup. After closing my laptop screen this started working.
