Setting font causes freeze and crash to login

When setting default font general
Tweak tool freezes for a short time 15 seconds or so and then the system crashes out to the login screen

14.04.2 fully updated
No PPA's

I can confirm that this too. Changing the font or font size causes crash of Ubuntu.

Replication:
Start Unity tweak tool -> Fonts -> Default font -> Change font size -> unity will crash to login.
This is on 14.04 system is uptodate

I can confirm that this too .. changing font crashes unity to log in screen 100% of times on Ubuntu 14.04 .. please fix this bug

It seems fixed in 16.04

Affected me on 16.04, then on a fresh install of 14.04.5.

Radeon drivers on 14.04, default drivers on 16.04.
