Bug Description

after updating, and changing lightdm configuration.
restart lightdm and it hangs.
from unity-system-compositorlog I see a mismatch of symbols.

then I find the following:
//////////////////////////
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 unity-system-compositor : Depends: libmirserver0 (= 0.0.2bzr664raring0) but 0.0.2bzr673raring0 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

We are working on getting u-s-c to automatically rebuild when Mir updates. The reason they have an exact version dependency is the API and ABI of libmirserver is unstable so we don't want people to have a mismatch at runtime.

Changed in unity-system-compositor:
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → High

Still not working for me. For a moment it installed the system compositor, but when I forced install of the latest build of mir server - again dependency problem:
zsh 1027 % sudo apt-get install unity-system-compositor
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
unity-system-compositor : Depends: libmirserver0 (= 0.0.3bzr711raring0) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

It seems that there are some synchronization problems when packages are build, the unity-system-compositor always depends on the libmirserver0 that is one revision behind, currently:
