Bug Description

I am trying to install unity-scope-openweathermap and in doing so, the installer wants to remove ubuntu-desktop, unity, unity-scope-home, and unity-tweak-tool.

Obviously, these are needed applicaitons on an Ubuntu desktop machine.

Any idea when this will be fixed?

I am using a fully updated version of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Thanks!
Joe

I just encountered the same issue on Ubuntu 14.10 64-bit installed clean. Synaptic wants to uninstall the same packages Joe mentioned. It looks like this bug has been around for about 5 months with no action.
