[sidestage] some sidestage apps have incorrect surface size

this is on image 163 + latest mir ppas (0.1.4 equiv)

so loaded up browser, gallery, facebook, settings, contacts, & clock
all sidestage apps look ok except for facebook & clock (i'll log a seperate bug for fb)

another note, the header in the clock app does not seem to respond once the other menus are revealed.
e.g. tap "Clock" reveals "alarm....etc", but then will not take any input

First attempt was to have unity-mir set the surface size instead of the application, but hit (possible) bug 1277228 so no go for now.

Seems for some apps, the APP_DESKTOP_FILE_PATH env var is missing/not set. This means platform-api is unable to read the desktop file and ask Mir for the correct surface size. Pursuing this avenue of investigation...

The last Upstart-app-launch release was distro reverted (current version 0.3+14.04.20140129.1.is.0.3+14.04.20131218-0ubuntu1) , meaning an essential patch was missing to have sidestage app function. When u-a-l re-released, this bug should be fixed.
