Bug Description

I'm running the unity-team/staging ppa, so I'm effectively running trunk for the application lens, as well as unity, compiz etc.

Since the last dist-upgrade, the application lens only shows the 'More Suggestions' category (see attached screenshot). This has rather drastic effects - for example, I can't launch any applications from the dash...

Hi Thomi. I couldn't reproduce this issue - I've tried it on two systems: Q upgraded to R + unity-team/staging and fresh R installation from a daily CD image (on 2012-11-26) + unity-team/staging and they both worked fine.

Are you still experiencing this issue with up-to-date system? If so, could you please kill application lens daemon, then start it manually from a terminal and attach the output to this bug report?

It turns out the issue happens when you install a new app (probably on remove as well, didn't test)

The problem seems to be related to recent transition to libgnome-menu-3.
