Bug Description

With NetworkManager support in trunk, there are now notifications appearing in the greeter. But they appear with hard black backgrounds. Ideally they would appear with appropriately colored backgrounds, according to the current wallpaper.

That would involve setting the _GNOME_BACKGROUND_REPRESENTATIVE_COLORS X atom. There is code to handle this magically in gnome-desktop3, if we use their background-setting functions.

Unfortunately, there aren't any vala bindings for gnome-desktop3 yet (there are for the GTK2 gnome-desktop library). We could probably write the small amount of bindings we'd need ourselves, but still.
