HUD broken since update of Firefox 17

I've built a drupal module which worked fine before the latest update of firefox.
I'm exporting the drupal menu structure to the hud.
Since v17 the hud does not add my actions.

There's an easy way to test.

got to
simplytest.me and select unity webapp integration an version 1.2.

then you can login to drupal
go to modules and select Unity Webapp Menu

then menu links should be exported.

you can see what gets exported by checking web konsole and variable
Drupal.settings.unity_api.links

the basic code is in unity_webapp.js

r349 was not properly backported.
bamf integration doesn't work with latest extension avaliable in Q.
