Bug Description
I noticed, after installing the Chromium plugin, that web pages were freezing during loading and causing the whole desktop to stop responding for up to 20-30 seconds. Disabling the webapps plugins in Chromium immediately solved the problem.

The extension has changed significantly since the filing of this bug, and this behaviour has not been noted.
