Bug Description
Using up to date Precise with Unity-2d
If the HUD is used to invoke Firefox Preferences dialog then the dialog opens behind the main window and may be completely covered. The only evidence that anything has happened is that the FF launcher icon jiggles.
If the HUD operation is immediately repeated then the dialog is popped to the front, giving the impression that the operation failed the first time.
The problem is not seen on 3D Unity.
This issue may be related to bug #982292.
