Not really sure what caused the crash. I had Pidgin, Evolution, and Rythmbox all going at the same time.

I'm marking this as Confirmed, since it has a good stack trace (complete under the __cxa_rethrow() call, which is what matters*) and is indicated to affect 10 people.

By the way, while this bug's looks superficially similar to bug 741958 and bug 762345, comparing their stack traces indicates that all three are most likely separate bugs*.

Was able to get to Unity desktop OK, but not Unity-2D. Using ASUS eeePC900 with external KVM

Official support for Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" has ended. If this error is still occurring on Ubuntu 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn" please run ubuntu-bug to file a new bug report so that we can get a fresh set of log files and system information.
