Bug Description
Panel popups windows could use a little shadow or border so tey coud be more stylish and integrate better with the desktop experience.

It seems like a good suggestion.
Though this is only possible to do with compositing activated. We purposefully deactivate compositing in metacity as to avoid bugs in its implementation.
