Search Field activity spinner is not displayed when searching

Search field should display an activity spinner when a search is in progress, as detailed in the Places specification.

Otto, those renderings are great, thank you!

I wonder if we could combine the search, (x) and spinny as follows:

The last one isn't clear, but it's an (x) with the spinny running around
it. The circle around the x is transformed into the spinny.

This has the small advantage of also putting the (x) on the left, which
is consistent with our window decorations. And it increases the amount
of useful space in the input area by an icon width.

Thoughts?

Changed to new because I think all the assets are available now or Otto can easily provide them (ie. psd's) if contacted directly.
