empty page when opening Disk Image File in root directory

when opening Disk Image File it says to look in root but the page is empty, no files are found. How can I fix this? I have attached the screenshot of the page.

There is a directory selector at the top of that dialog. Go to / then click
home then click your username and that will be your home directory
