Hallo Geza, I understand that you are very busy right now, on your homepage I could see that you have started your PhD studies (Congratulations and wish you all the best!! :-). Great to hear that you will, nevertheless, want to investigate this issue in the near future! And in the meantime I will try out this 512mb file and put it into the unetbtn folder, the root "/" folder and the C: drive (called "cd-rom" drive in linux mint Live session, but has nothing to do with cd-rom). I think that the issue on hand might have to do with some paths in some linux mint system files that link to incorrect/nonexistent files/folders/directories in mint, given that unetbootin was actually created to work with ubuntu directly, and given that persistency was actually thought to work with users who boot live sessons from USB stick and not HDD, as it seems. I'm sure all it might take to fix this problem would be to know which files and folders to edit in order to point unetbootin and the unetbootin or distro bootloader to the right direction and the right files specific to the specific distro used by the user. So users could then, no matter what ubuntu-based distro, change the specific file names and paths inside files and adjust these files and folders to suit their distro! Also, what I would like to know is how can I increase the File System / root folder in my linux mint live session, as it is only 1GB, but I have 6GB available on my C drive, and 2 GB RAM ? Is there a way to increase the File System folder to 2GB, since by using the live system, this file system folder gets filled up rather quickly and the system breaks down/freezes when there is only a 1 GB file system folder...? Look forward to hearing from you. Have a good day/evening. Best regards, Tom ________________________________ From: Geza Kovacs
