Bug Description
If I try to write a local ISO to usb with the OSX version (584, the most current one), I don't get an error if there isn't enough space on the stick.
Unetbootin will simply tell me I can go ahead and use the stick - even though the write has (silently) failed due to lacking space.
I spent hours trying to figure out why my new Lubuntu installs produced nothing but messed up partitions that weren't even mountable with other live distros - until I realized that my install stick was bad due to this bug...
I tried writing the same ISO to the stick under Ubuntu - and there it throws immediately an error message alerting me that there isn't enough room on the stick. So the space check *is* working under Ubuntu (in the version from the ubuntu 12 repos), but is *NOT* working in the current OSX version.
Dunno about whether space check is working in WinXP (see https:/
