Bug Description

For offline mode, tiles must be downloaded or generaterd. For a small country, the total size will soon become several giga-bytes.

On http://download.geofabrik.de/ , the map data can also be downloaded as osm.pbf . For a complete country like the Netherlands, the total size is just around 1 giga-byte.

Could support for this format be added ?
