Bug Description

The Ubuntu Clock app has been snapped already, maybe it could serve as an example for how to snap uNav too:

  https://github.com/ubuntu/snappy-playpen/tree/master/ubuntu-clock-app

Launchpad can build snaps automatically and can even be uploaded them to the store. This could be nice for users of the 'edge' channel for testing.

If you need any help with getting this working, let me know.

Hi Daniel |o/ How are you?

First, for a PC, uNav needs changes, removing the navigation and
probably the sharing feature.

Oliver told me 2 months ago the need of an unconfined uNav because of
it's webview component. I don't know if this changed (?).

After that, I tried a snap version of uNav, but it didn't run :( From
1 dump to another. And after 1 weeks trying that, I desisted.

A hug.

HAve a look at https://github.com/ubuntu/snappy-playpen/pull/240 - it's the inclusion of dekko in the Snappy Playpen.

For the navigation we will have to see, but having it run in --devmode will be a good first step. :-)

If someone could try it, would be replace s/dekko/unav and change the
source as lp:unav.

I will create a special uNav branch for a snap version without
navigation (simulate is available).

A hug!
