Clock and video/music playback VERY fast

Bug Description
I have instaled the os onto a HP Pavalon ZV 5000 laptop with sucess. and quite like it, it runs even with the limted memory avlalable, no more than 250 megs.
However, I have found that the clock displayed is runing fast, pasing aprox. 5 secons or so for every real world second. the video and audo playback of movies and musi play at several times normal speed. I have check the web and found many things that you can change in the boot to fix this, but so far a, all have failed.

If possible a fix or atleast a way to watch movies at normal speed.
