Bug Description

I installed driver to my Creative Labs Sound Blaster Awe 32/64 ISA sound card using instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportComponentsSoundCardsCreativeLabs.

If I uncheck mute in the Volume control applet, and thereafter change volume level, mute is automatically checked. Sound is on anyway.

Volume control doesn't actually control anything in u-lite. There is probably a configuration sub-system somewhere, but damn if I can find it. Right-clicking just gets panel settings, it should bring up settings for volume control applet. My guess is you have to add or edit the .desktop file in /usr/share/applications but what would one add, that is the question?
