Ubuntu 24.04 - Loaded UFW from app centre and does not run

Hi Gents, just giving some feedback:

UFC: (latest/stable 0.36.2)

O/S: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Kernal Ver: Linux 6.8.0-31-generic

Ubuntu 24.04 - Loaded UFW from app centre and it does not run.

Selected UFC (latest/stable 0.36.2) from App Centre, it installed okay, but the "Open" button is greyed out.

I tried searching for UFW with no result.

Afterrebooting I had the same result.

Let me know if you need further info?

ufw is a command line application and as such should be run from a terminal. The app center showing a grayed out button is probably because ufw (intentionally) doesn't provide a desktop file. This is not a bug in ufw. The gallery shows a few example commands of how to use ufw in a terminal.

Hi Jamie thanks for the clarification. I enabled the ufw from the command
line and confirm it works.
