Bug Description

UDS run on top of Google Hangouts, which is a privative add-on.

The goal of Google making this add-on privative is ultimately to create a technological lock-in. So having a libre alternative is desirable.

Proprietary standards are like icebergs: what once seemed a trivial drawback, later shows to become a big problem. Being the perfect example Adobe Flash.
