Revision not present when checking out ubuntu/quantal/sssd

When doing a :

$ bzr branch lp:ubuntu/quantal/sssd

This error is reported:
 bzr: ERROR: Revision
        {<email address hidden>} not present in
        "Graph(StackedParentsProvider(bzrlib.repository._LazyListJoin(([CachingParentsProvider(None)],
        []))))".

Hi,
Are you sure ssd is the correct source package name?
I did 'sudo apt-get intall ssd' and i got

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package ssd

I am using quantal too.

ohhhh I just read "It’s often the case that the source package and binary package will have different names."
Not sure what apt-get takes as input. If it takes bin then maybe ssd is correct source package name.

Sorry it should be

bzr branch lp:ubuntu/quantal/sssd

I missed a third 's' in there :P

It's OK. But I think instead of lp:ubuntu/quantal/sssd try ubuntu:sssd
Here's what I think: (you dont have to do this, I did this just to verify)
- Branched empathy using 'bzr branch lp:empathy' and when I did a pull using 'bzr pull' it showed
         bzr+ssh://bazaar.launchpad.net/+branch/empathy
-I also branched tomboy using 'bzr branch ubuntu:tomboy' (notice the missing lp) and did a pull using 'bzr pull'. It showed
        bzr+ssh://bazaar.launchpad.net/+branch/ubuntu/tomboy/

Point being, there is no lp/ubuntu/quantal/sssd. So the error. :)

By the way, ubuntu:sssd spits OUT-OF-DATE warning. But I found this

sssd is still not supported by bzr i guess.

ubuntu:sssd is a synonym for lp:ubuntu/sssd, which in turn is a synonym for lp:ubuntu/<whatever the current development series is>/sssd. Adam's problem has nothing to do with any of that, but rather with a bug in the package importer.

Thanks for clearing that Colin. Sorry for all the confusion, I am brand new to all this. Still wondering why ubuntu:sssd which is a synonym (according to the law of transitivity) for lp:ubuntu/<whatever the current development series is>/sssd worked but lp:/ubuntu/quantal/sssd didnt.

The current development series is raring, not quantal, so presumably
quantal's branch is broken somehow. Finding out why would be a task for
the maintainers of the udd project, against which this bug is filed.
