Bug Description
I am running Karmic Beta version of Ubuntu on a Dell Optiplex MiniTower. I am attempting to use UCK. I have downloaded several Ubuntu ISO'S, including Jaunty, and Karmic, and each time I run UCK, I get the same results:

Same problem appearing on my newly installed Ubuntu 9.10 (32-Bits) desktop, tried multiple different ISO files, same error
Un-installed Synaptic's version of UCK and downloaded / installed Debian package from UCK's website....same problem
