Bug Description

10.10 64bit JACK wont start for me like it used to. i installed Alessio Igor Bogani's realtime kernel for 11.04 from https://launchpad.net/~abogani/+archive/ppa as a work around, and JACK started and runs reliably

same in 11.04. firewire interfaces are a staple for professionals. i feel ubuntustudio needs to provide support for these devices out of the box, or at least as an option.

Looks more like a kernel or FFDAO issue than an Ubuntu Studio issue, and ancient bug, so closing.
