Bug Description
The current installer has no knowledge of existing installations and performs an installation over the top of everything else. In the past we have seen some issues with this, and in general it's not a great experience because you don't end up with the new U1 until you shut everything down and start over again (likely after a reboot, which could be days or weeks away).
We should shut down existing applications, uninstall previous the version, then install from a clean base.
