REST API cannot operate on files containing '?' (question mark)

Bug #1015056 reported by Roman Yepishev
This bug affects 2 people
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
Ubuntu One Servers

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

cd ~/Ubuntu\ One
touch 'Question File?'
mkdir 'Question Folder?'
cd 'Question Folder?'
echo "Hello" > file.txt

Open Ubuntu One android client and try downloading "Question File?":
 Download failed, tap to resume

Try navigating to 'Question Folder?':
Error: Could not get node: Resource not found.

Attempting to use an escaped version of question mark lead to 401 UNAUTHORIZED response from both updown and file storage API.

My files don't contain any question marks. I get the same error. Either "could not get node" or "could not get volume" - On both my tablet and my phone. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2 with a custom kernel, but that shouldn't make any difference, the tablet is an ASUS Transformer Prime, default install.

I don't know what might cause this, but if it's a filename issue, I suggest it should get fixed quickly, because both android apps won't work for me. At all.

Same here. Not sure about the other guys, but i haven't managed to sync anything at all from my android devices (Galaxy S2 and Tab 10.1). I get " error: could not get node resource not found"

I should note, though, that both devices get files that were already on the server. +1 for that bit and thanx for great work guys
