same problem for me, but on windows Vista 32bit and ubuntuone-2.0.2. ubuntu one fails to load after restart and it is also impossible to start it manually. and when I click OK in the error window, another error window shows up with text: "C:\Program Files\ubuntuone\dist\PYTHON27.dll".

I aslo would like to post my experience with u1 client for windows:
First time I installed it (it was about a month ago), it was version 2.0.1, there was problem with auto updater (there is bug about it somewhere on launchpad...). so I decided to wait for a while, until you fix this. today, I tried u1 windows client again. I didnt find any change log or some info about what was fixed in the newest version 2.0.2 and wheteher the mentioned bug was fixed (WHY is there no change log???), but I hoped that it is fixed.so I installed it, restarted computer and this error about python showed... I am sorry, but I have to say, that u1 client for windows is unusable for me!!!

Could you try installing the latest version (2.0.3)? If that still gives you the DLL error, I need you to open CMD, and go to
c:\program files\ubuntuone\dist and try running ubuntuone-control-panel-qt to see if it works.

I dont see any 2.0.3 installer. I just downloaded it from https://one.ubuntu.com/downloads/windows/install/. It is still 2.0.2 installer.

Ok, after i insalled 2.0.2, it gave me an option to auto update. I have updated it. Now, it does not show any errors on startup. It is not syncing any files. It says, file synchronisation starting at the top. And that is it. It does not do anything.

yes, where can we find 2.0.3? I had to write it again - there is NO change log on main u1 site, no information about new client version, updates, and only way how to find out, which version you are downloading is to check filename..... why?

Until a couple of hours ago we had a bug in our site where the https URL offered the 2.0.2 release and the http URL offered 2.0.3. Now all the links should point to 2.0.3

after a month I decided to give u1 another chance. I did a clean install of 2.0.3 on vista32 (before install, I deleted all ubuntu one folder from program files, programdata, ...). Everything worked ok, I tried synchronize some folder - great.

But after restart, I got the error again - Loadmodule failed and after clicking ok another error window (see screenshot attached).

I tried running ubuntuone-control-panel-qt.exe from dist directore as Roberto in #6 said - same errors...

So I checked contents of dist directory - and I dont know why, but python27.dll and other python releated files were missing.
According to install.log - these files should be extracted in dist without error.

I uninstalled ubuntu one, delete ubuntu one folder from Program Files and install it again. Rebooted and - wow, no errors!!

I dont konow, where is the problem, or where was, but for me it is fixed (and hopefully remains fixed..). Just tip for developers about python27.dll disappearing.
