Bug Description

I uninstalled U1 Beta 1, installed Beta 2 (on 20 sept 2011). first attempt to login returned this message : 'Expired timestamp: given 1316531817 and now 1316495856 has a greater difference than threshold 900'. I restarted the PC, tried again, the same message.
I have been using U1 for over 6 months on *buntu installs, Win XP-Pro, WIn XP-Home, Win 7 Home Premium without major problem, maybe a little slow when compared with my expectations.
This Beta 2 is not working.

Hello!

Thanks for helping us making Ubuntu One better. Can you please confirm you have the date and time properly set? From the error, I think is very likely that the time in your machine is not accurate.

Let me know!
Natalia.

Hello Natalia,
It could be possible. I live in the US where I installed UbuntuOne for the first time. I got news of the Beta while on a trip to Bangladesh and installed it. There are 10 hours of difference between BD and the US.
I guess I will have to I wait until I am back home Oct 5 to reinstall U1 or wait for Ubuntu 11.10 a few days later.
Or its there another solution?
Thanks.
Ernesto

Hello Ernesto,

As a workaround, you can set the date/time/timezone to the location you're currently in (and then you will need to switch back when you return to your home).

As long as the date/time is properly set for the location you're in, you should not have any issues.

I will close this bug as duplicate of the master bug for this. You can do all the follow up there.
Regards, Natalia.
